A Textile Arts Group. Monday, August 25, 2014. Dye Workshop 2014 - Resists. We started by making impressions with the various resists onto pastel dyed fabric, and set them out to dry. Pat used a brush to make circular shapes and Peggy used foam stamps. Amy's potato masher looked like a sand dollar, and Cheryl like various stamps with corn dextrin. Here is the recipe for the Lemon Zucchini Bread that Peggy brought to the potluck at the Dye Workshop. 2 cups cake flour. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 cup canola oil. 1 1/3 cups sugar. 2 Tablespoons lemon juice. A Textile Arts Group. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Amy set up one counter space with her fabric painting supplies. She had an 8 x 10 Gelli Plate, as well as a homemade 8" round gelatin plate, acrylic paints, stencils and printing tools. Some of Amy's finished Gelli prints, 2 layers of mono printed fabrics, then stamped and embellished with various stencils and mark making tools. Crystal used the design wall to work on her blocks, the cute animal prints were bright and colorful, in peach, aqua, grey and gold.

A Textile Arts Group. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. The New Quilt/Stitch and Knit Show will be at the Portland Expo Center August 13-15. The Annual Sewing and Quilting Show will be at the Expo Center on September 26-28, anyone planning on going to either show, let me know and we can plan car pooling, this would be great field trip opportunities for us. Our regular meeting will NOT be at the conference rooms in August! Amy will demo making bias tape for Stained Glass and Celtic quilts at the September meeting.
