Network Trace Add-in for ArcGIS Silverlight Viewer | The Memory Leak
https://ambergis.wordpress.com/2011/05/09/network-trace-add-in-for-arcgis-silverlight-viewer
Thoughts on GIS programming yet to be forgotten. Network Trace Add-in for ArcGIS Silverlight Viewer. Posted May 9, 2011. Web mapping app that performs network tracing. (Edit: to activate the trace toolbar, click the far right button on the main toolbar). OK, I lie. I did spend a bit of time coding over the past couple of weeks, but the resulting tools: an Add-in for the ArcGIS Silverlight Viewer. And a Network Trace Server Object Extension. Can be re-used easily in three steps –. Without writing any code.
RFID+Geospatial Relief for Haiti | The Memory Leak

Thoughts on GIS programming yet to be forgotten. RFID Geospatial Relief for Haiti. Posted March 31, 2010. I recommend FRONTLINE’s Quake. Documentary which aired last night. They examined a lot of the issues surrounding distribution of supplies following the earthquake in Haiti. It seems like RFID could be leveraged to resolve this situation. Sure enough, after a bit of searching, I see this UN worker quoted in RFID Journal Blog:. The Government of Haiti presented an Action Plan. Laquo; MIX10 Notes. You a...

The average American only spends 13 percent of the time outdoors. GIS-based services help us find restaurants and hotels, but they offer almost no support for navigating in the complex indoor spaces of shopping centers, hospitals, mines, or airports. LinqPad Spatial Challenge | The Memory Leak
https://ambergis.wordpress.com/2010/03/02/linqpad-spatial-challenge
Thoughts on GIS programming yet to be forgotten. Posted March 2, 2010. To get up to speed with new things in C# 4.0, I’ve been reading C# 4.0 In A Nutshell. By Joseph and Ben Albahari. To illustrate examples, the book uses LinqPad. A freely downloadable tool. I recommend the book, and I. Still, there is room for improvement with LinqPad. The author of LinqPad has presented the LINQPad Challenge. With the following rules:. 2 In its place, insert a shortcut to LINQPad. Could justify doing this. You are com...
Why not a Web-based ModelBuilder ? | The Memory Leak
https://ambergis.wordpress.com/2008/08/14/why-not-a-web-based-modelbuilder
Thoughts on GIS programming yet to be forgotten. Why not a Web-based ModelBuilder? Posted August 14, 2008. Filed under: 10.0 Wishlist. From ArcGIS 9.3 Desktop Help. 8211; imagine it in a web browser. Yet another refrain of :. Web20 means anyone can be a publisher. Right now Modelbuilder is part of ArcGIS Desktop. Modelers create and test models, then publish them by creating a new geoprocssing service on ArcGIS Server. That way, a cool geoprocessing task like this. Could be developed by a 3rd party.

Ripsin Blog: DETOX Week
http://ripsin.blogspot.com/2009/04/detox-week.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2009. We are following a detox diet that Gwyneth Paltrow has posted on her website Goop.com. The salad pictured here has been my favorite so far. It has a carrot and ginger dressing that tastes awesome. So, day three of no caffiene, no sugar, no bread, no preservatives, etc. is going pretty well. We've got a ton of coconuts in the yard ready to be picked for more coconut juice. I can say however, I really do miss my Cuban coffee. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). James Fee GIS Blog.

The Memory Leak | Thoughts on GIS programming yet to be forgotten.
Thoughts on GIS programming yet to be forgotten. Simplify SOE Deployment with Self Registration. Posted May 15, 2011. Registering SOE’s can be a pain, but there is an easier way. Esri suggests having a separate exe that registers the dll. But this needs to be done after running Regasm on it. Instead of building an SOE as a dll, build it as an exe. The Main program of the SOE can do the registration/unregistration. First, by calling Regasm. And then by registering with AGS, similar to Esri’s sample. Creat...
