Newman News: Valentine Fun
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2015/03/valentine-fun.html
Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Valentine's Day has come and gone. It's finally time to document the fun. We had our annual family "heart hunt," but we didn't take pictures. We did a little revamping of that activity this year to avoid the task of picking up all those hearts we used to use! Emma was excited to give valentines this year @ preschool. She chose Frozen valentines (the obvious choice! We even took a valentine picture of our own before heading out to take charge of the ward party! Joy In The Kitchen.

Newman News: Bedroom Redo - Kids' Edition
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2015/02/bedroom-redo-kids-edition.html
Saturday, February 21, 2015. Bedroom Redo - Kids' Edition. With some help from Jacob's sister, I concocted the sign from something I found on Pinterest and it turned out super cute. Normally I would be up for a project like refinishing the dresser, but with hands starting to go numb and difficulty maneuvering my pregnant self, I was more than happy to pay someone else this time. Especially since I got the dresser for cheap! Dresser Paint = $100 and that was more than worth it to me! Joy In The Kitchen.

Newman News: April 2014
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Since I've been absent from blog world for a little more than a month now I have to do some backtracking and cover a few things that got missed in that time! March holds 2 birthdays in our family - Dad and Emma. For some reason when Jacob's birthday rolls around we like to advertise it to the neighborhood! The kids made the banner that we hung on the garage. Jacob frugally chose to grill hamburgers at home for his birthday dinner (the rest of us choose eating out! If you notice...

Newman News: Blessing Day for Lyndie
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2015/03/blessing-day-for-lyndie.html
Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Blessing Day for Lyndie. We picked January 11th for Lyndie to be blessed because we had family that would be in town. Just our luck that it was going to be Stake Conference that weekend! Luckily, Ava (& the Sr. Primaries of the Stake) were singing so there was a reason to take the whole family to church with us! Newman News: September 2014
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 6, 2014. Emma's other event was the Chicken Scramble that she was adamant in doing, although I had my doubts. We stuck it out till the end just to give her the chance. She chased a few chickens and was pretty close to a couple. Then, as usually happens, one of the chicken-chasing helpers caught her a chicken! When she went to hold it, it gave a few wing flaps and that was the end of that. Someone had to hold the chicken and someone else had to hold Emma! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Newman News: 9 Already!
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2015/02/9-already.html
Saturday, February 21, 2015. We can't believe Ava turned 9 years old! It seems like it wasn't that long ago that we were the only ones in our circle of friends with a baby, and now that "baby" is 9 and not even close to a baby anymore! In fact, she is nearly as tall as I am. NEARLY, but not quite! For this year's party Ava chose 3 friends to take roller skating. I even made it the entire time without falling (because at my age that would have been painful! All the girls had fun and mostly had the hang of...

Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Who could make the tallest tower using saved boxes. Blower of the biggest bubble gum bubble (complete w/ 3 yr. old "bubbles! A team effort to sink the opposing teams quarters through the tissue. Using straws to shoot paper javelins into buckets (Mom's all-time lowest scoring event). Blowing pom-poms onto a target to obtain points. Like "skee ball" with golf balls and an egg carton. Trying to catch a bubble on camera proved to be beyond my picture taking skills! Newman News: August 2014
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 11, 2014. July 4th - Jolley Style. For the past several years we have been able to celebrate Independence Day with our friends, The Jolleys. They always throw a good BBQ and we swim, play games, have races and just enjoy hanging out before we head to the fireworks in Idaho Falls. This year's party was a ton of fun, even though I had to sit out from a few events that didn't work well for pregnant people! The fun is optional, but rarely lacking! As you can see, it didn't get him a 1st place ...

Newman News: January 2015
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2015. With Christmas coming just 1 month after having a baby it was imperative that everything was ready before the baby came. That goal was accomplished and the month of December turned out to be very enjoyable with all the holiday bustle out of the way. We were able to enjoy family traditions, time together, fun holiday activities and focus more on our Savior. Ava: A Journey Girl Doll (like American Girl only more affordable! The girls were able to see 2 Santas this year, the 2nd...

Newman News: BIG 5
http://hello-newmans.blogspot.com/2015/03/big-5.html
Sunday, March 29, 2015. Our little Emma has hit the BIG age of 5! She has been talking about turning 5 for a little while and was very excited when her birthday finally rolled around. She chose a baking party this year that ended up being more like "a little bit of everything" party. She really wanted a pinata so there was that chef hat and cookie decorating the present passing game just plain old playing with friends! She is very loving and has a soft heart when the timing is right. Joy In The Kitchen.
