a year in korea: A Natural Disaster

http://www.adventuresfromkorea.blogspot.com/2006/08/natural-disaster.html

A year in korea. Monday, August 07, 2006. The remains of Jangsudae campground. You can see the roots of the tree in the forefront exposed as a result of the flooding. The bathrooms in Jangsudae. This was our usual camping spot. A truck somehow got down there. We assume it washed down off the road by the rain water. If you look closely, you can see the remains of a tent in the foreground. http://www.adventuresfromkorea.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

A year in korea. Thursday, July 20, 2006. Up until yesterday it had been raining all day, everyday for 2 whole weeks! Actually- that's not exaclty true- there was a small break in the rain on Sunday. I never knew it could rain for so long, so hard. The Han River has reached it's max and spilled onto one of the major highways that runs beside it, people have been missing, and the whole country is flooding. If only we had access to a raft for boating! It's been seriously RAINING! Posted by melanie @ 7:41 PM.

The cost was $5 and the guy who started the race also ran with us. The starting line was drawn with with his foot about 5 minutes before the race and the results were never posted. There were about 40 people total and it was followed by a BBQ and free beer. This is a "race" that I highly recommend! Low key and tons of fun! Me and Bethan grinning after the race.

They were to pause, think like a scientist, scratch their chin (if their hands weren't covered in squid guts), and thoughtfully remark ".interesting." Thus the squid were no longer disgusting and slimy but instead something new, different and. Past in the ...

Adventures From Karen's Clinic

Cartoon Gallery ». Cartoon Roughs ». Welcome to my "Adventures From Karen's Clinic" website. This particular adventure is the marriage of two personal loves - massage therapy and cartooning. I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2001 and have been drawing cartoons as long as I can remember. By combining these two passions, I created a comic strip based on the funny, sometimes crazy things that happen in the massage therapy world. I'd be happy to discuss ideas and prices.
