Sunday, Lausanne to Geneva. June 2, 2014. Here’s the breakfast room at the hotel in Lausanne. Here we are waiting to meet the train to Geneva. Our first Starbucks stop of the trip. So here’s the train station. Male fashion for train travel. The hotel in Geneva is fairly fancy. We are here only one night. And Geneva is a diplomatic place. You see diplomats negotiating everywhere. We have to leave for the airport tomorrow morning at 6:45, so I’m signing off and going to bed. WMC. Sunday, Lausanne to Geneva.

June 9, 2014. Ok, here’s the final word on Geneva. The panorama is beautiful. Best on the trip. The view is from the bell tower of Geneva’ s cathedral, which itself is on a hill. Then there’s the airport. Approaching Newark, we flew South down the Hudson River Valley. Very scenic. The approach to Newark was South past the west side of Manhattan. Along the way we stopped in a town named Saint Sulpice, where we purchased sausage and cheese, mustard (in a toothpaste tube), chips and drinks. On to Geneva tomorrow. WMC. You guessed it, we went to old Geneva to see one more church with organ and a tower to climb. Saint Peter’s Cathedral. Old Geneva is on a hill so up we went.
