Laquo; She had strep – knock me over with a feather. Two years gone by. School of hard knocks. Good lord today was just a terrible, horrible day. And a nearby, immobile, hard object? Well, that is just a recipe for disaster. Forehead, meet the dresser handle. Dresser handle, meet the forehead. There was much blood, and much crying (from both the Kiddo AND me). One can dream…. Laquo; Happy Birthday sweetie! School of hard knocks. She had strep – knock me over with a feather. Seriously, I had NO clue, she showed ZERO of the regular symptoms. Her only symptoms were a mild cough a few days prior, and a weird rash that popped up on Sunday, which, since she had no fever or any complaints of a sore throat, we chalked up to an allergic reaction to something. When it didn’t disappear on its own by Monday morning, I called to make an appointment with her doctor. Now we’ve got to ...

Raising a Girl » Countdown to Christmas
http://www.raisingagirl.com/countdown-to-christmas
Laquo; Countdown calendar. Christmas day began with a THUD. Only a couple of days left – are you done shopping? We are, with the exception of some sodas for the holiday party and a few other food items. But as of yesterday our gift shopping is complete, I had two things left to pick up and I was able to get those, one of which at a huge discount I was not expecting. Yay! Poor kid. Nevertheless she still did not want to go back down to sleep, but the rest of the night she did alright. Be Sociable, Share!

Archive for the 'General' Category. Two years gone by. Wow, where have I been eh? Not posting here, definitely. Not posting on my thoughts blog, either. It’s not for lack of stuff to talk about, just lack of motivation. She’s rocking the piggy tails. Report on the birthday party yesterday. The Kiddo had a pretty good nap this afternoon. She went down at around 1:45p and got up at about 5pm. Yep, a fairly long nap, but she seems refreshed. At about 3:15 I started nodding off at my desk, so tol...Tuesday e...

Laquo; If one says no, go ask the other. Countdown to her Birthday. Five more days, and my baby will turn three years old. Wow, time flies! I’m still not sure what we’ll get her since the party itself is really starting to add up (yes I’m already thinking CEC would have been cheaper at this point, especially if I kept the nbr of kids invited to a minimum). If we ever have another child, I’m going to try to plan it so that the birthday doesn’t fall anywhere near Christmas! Be Sociable, Share! Great MOMS T...

Archive for the 'Holidays' Category. Three years. WOW. It was a fun day… a bounce house (that she stayed in nearly all day), a few friends from preschool and her cousins, and a friend of mine and her daughter… cake, presents… and a late nap in the car on the way home. It went well and she had a blast. […]. Countdown to her Birthday. Five more days, and my baby will turn three years old. Wow, time flies! Her upcoming 3rd Birthday Party. Laquo; Countdown to Christmas. Going to another birthday party. Christmas day began with a THUD. And no, I’m sorry to say it wasn’t Santa’s reindeer stomping on our roof. Har har. I feel fast asleep snuggled up with her, and she pretty much stuck right next to me all night… until at like 6:40 am, she rolled off the bed and landed between the bed and my nightstand. Lesson learned, next time she’s going between my husband and I regardless of whether I actually plan on taking her back to her own bed a...

Laquo; Her upcoming 3rd Birthday Party. Countdown to her Birthday. If one says no, go ask the other. So she pouts and walks away – toward her daddy’s office. I immediately knew what she was intending on doing, and sure enough, I hear her dad tell her no also. The only difference is that he sweetens the sting a little by telling her she can have them AFTER dinner (whereas that thought didn’t even occur to me). Be Sociable, Share! Laquo; Christmas day began with a THUD. Her upcoming 3rd Birthday Party. Going to another birthday party. And it is again at Chuck E Cheese. I am going to give the Kiddo some vitamins over the next few days to hopefully ward off whatever bugs are lurking at the pizza place. I should have been gearing her up prior but I’m forgetful like that. Bad mommy! I still need to stop at a store on the way and pick up a gift bag to put her gifts into, and probably a little card to go with it. Be Sociable, Share!
