8th & Wyandot: About
http://8thandwyandot.blogspot.com/p/about.html
Reflections of a man transformed by his time at 8th and Wyandot. We decided to move out of Joshua Station when I was invited to take over as Youth Director. Our role is very different now, but our reasons for being at JS are exactly the same. We love the families who have found themselves in our program. Since moving to Denver we have been blessed with two amazing children, Emery and Kilian, and a Welsh Collie named Zero. We are excited to see what lies ahead as our adventure continues!

http://8thandwyandot.blogspot.com/2015/08/but-where-is-gospel.html
Reflections of a man transformed by his time at 8th and Wyandot. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. But, where is the Gospel? I am a part of a non-profit community. There is no doubt that this question is loaded with all kinds of assumptions and possibilities for disagreement, but when answering that question I usually just find myself telling stories. One of those stories is about David. David was one of the first teenagers Nicole and I met. David is well on his way to accomplishing the goal of graduating colleg...

When I saw this passage. After I re...

Whose leaves never turn red in fall,. Only yellow then brown on fallow grass. As I watched,. Just past a new day’s first hour,. I could almost see her luminous. Crescent rock back and forth drawing. My eye upward, higher, a need to tilt. My head back and forth to discern. Your gift through lacy silhouette. Branches standing guard between.

http://8thandwyandot.blogspot.com/2015/04/learning-importance-of-failure.html
Reflections of a man transformed by his time at 8th and Wyandot. Friday, April 10, 2015. Learning the Importance of Failure. I was taking the Joshua Station teens to a local park. I can't quite remember what our goal was, although it probably had something to do with flying a kite as this was our main activity that summer. Somehow we had engaged the subject of gangs. I was intrigued. "The Goofies! I asked him. "You guys were just making fun of me." "What are you talking about? Then his friend chimed in, ...
