A modest proposal - Part II - Taxes - Illusions of Reality. A modest proposal - Part II - Taxes. Laquo; previous entry. Next entry ». Feb 28th, 2011 09:50 am. Everyone hates giving up any of their income for taxes, even when they know that the taxes pay for things that they (the tax payer) wants done. The tax must be stated in a...

Railbike wrap up - Strummings. Life is a series of astonishing coincidences. 10:09 pm October 10th, 2009. It's been a couple of weeks now, and I have more results from and thoughts about the Handcar Regatta. As I mentioned, my railbike Cyclotron set the fastest time of the day (23.17 seconds) but lost in the finals when I crashed. For your amusement, here it is in living video! A fellow was at the perfect angle to capture it, and he talked to me after the race. He's now put it up on YouTube. Meanwhile, t...

Writeup in Wired - Strummings. Life is a series of astonishing coincidences. 07:03 pm May 20th, 2010. So a week ago a writer for Wired.com contacted me about the fireflies, having found them through the Maker Faire. I exchanged a few emails with some details, and, well:. This is more than I'd ever hoped for! Good thing our website is now live. As of last night, that is. Nothing like the last minute to give you heart failure.). Or Leave a comment. Firefly pictures - Strummings. Life is a series of astonishing coincidences. 01:09 pm May 9th, 2010. As go all things engineering, continual changes and updates keep happening. So, for the show, we will have two different types, and here they are. The one on the left is from the pilot run and is the previous design. The one on the right is a preproduction run, and it's what they will look like from here on out. It's about an inch across and weighs but 7 grams. Click through for larger images:.

Life is a series of astonishing coincidences. 10:09 pm October 10th, 2009. It's been a couple of weeks now, and I have more results from and thoughts about the Handcar Regatta. Tocatta purring and Capo snoring. Or Leave a comment. 11:46 pm September 27th, 2009. Handcar Regatta won and lost. The good news: I had the best time of all entrants. The bad news: I didn't win. Well, my fastest run was in one of the heat races, but I had mechanical failure (lost the chain) in the finals, which caused a crash.

OMG I agree with the conservatives! OMG I agree with the conservatives! Laquo; previous entry. Next entry ». Dec 16th, 2010 12:17 pm. I was just reading another article about the. Then maybe some conservative guy will introduce Alan Grayson's proposal (Medicare for all) and we will get the law we needed. Ok, enough of my fantasy about rational people in the congress. Dec 16th, 2010 11:32 pm (UTC). Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Medicare for all the republicans' worst nightmare? A government-administe...

I've had these moments, too - like, when the bead shop guy told me that base metal crimps aren't supposed actually crimp, per se, so that's why I was shattering them with my crimping tool and believed that I was incapable of using crimping tubes correctly. For the past year or so. Oh. Oops. Apr 3rd, 2010 06:52 pm (UTC).

Traight · but · not · narrow. Many things - some good, some bad. Middot; Margaret Sempster. My husband usualy works anywhere from 12-16 hours a day during the week - making rank was great, but now he's a section chief - so lots of paperwork in addition to turning a wrench. It's going to be my day to day job to care for her. I can do it, but am afraid I may be crazy at the end of it. Middot Leave a comment. On October 22nd, 2008 02:32 pm (UTC).
