The Society organises a rota for Wednesday afternoons for people to provide a human presence in St Mary's Priory Church. Nteer for as many or as few sessions as you like, but the rota is usually for 2-3 a year. You can just be "a presence", or you can learn about the Church and be a helpful guide when needed. The Monuments in St Mary's Priory Church are famous and visited by people from all over the world.

Abergavenny Judo club is run by Paul Addis. Paul has been practising judo for over 25 years and is a 2nd Dan Black Belt. He is a qualified Club Coach (Level 2) of the British Judo Association. Paul has instructed multiple students to Black Belt standard as well as medal success at International level. From May or June onwards, we visit places of historical interest, with day, evening and weekend excursions. A list is sent out to members by email or post in the Autumn. Book as soon as you can as places are now being allocated on a 'first come' basis, although there are sometimes cancellations later. Only ALHS members can go on visits. We also arrange guided tours for groups.
