Life by the park. Life in inner-city Melbourne. Thursday, July 31, 2003. It seems that the Gombert fund-raiser is to raise money for their overseas tour. I'm very glad to sing in the concerts, but it might have been nice to know what the cause was. Mum rang last night to let me know that Solveig senior's death notice was in yesterday's paper. Unfortunately we don't have Ian's mobile number so can't contact him to let him know. Posted by Frank at 12:49 pm. Tuesday, July 29, 2003. Posted by Frank at 2:58 pm.

Life by the park. Life in inner-city Melbourne. Friday, April 30, 2004. Feel much better today, especially since tonight, thanks to B, I'm off to see. German class last night was good; there's only nine of us left from last semester, plus a new guy, Peter, who did 1A in Hawthorn last year. It turns out he lives in Valiant Street and works in Marine Parade. I got a lift home with him, although it would have been faster by train as his girlfriend/partner didn't arrive until after 9.30. I think I'm in for a...

Life by the park. Life in inner-city Melbourne. Wednesday, December 31, 2003. Well, it's the last day of a most uninspiring year - working today as I'm singing at CJ's wedding on Friday. Was easier to swap the day off instead of fussing about rushing back to work. Working Saturday means I can't go to Newstead though. Let's hope that next year turns out to be a more positive time - at least I've got the Ring to look forward to. Posted by Frank at 8:35 am. Tuesday, December 30, 2003. And the red balloon...

Life by the park. Life in inner-city Melbourne. Friday, October 31, 2003. Good news first: B is off the drip and is having an iron infusion (will that make him a "man of steel"? They're arranging to do a scan of his lungs today, but the downside is that he probably won't be coming home today. P is coming for a late dinner tonight so perhaps there'll be some more information later. Posted by Frank at 3:04 pm. Thursday, October 30, 2003. Last night to Cicciolina. Then hopped on a bus and was home by 9....

Life by the park. Life in inner-city Melbourne. Wednesday, February 25, 2004. Reasonably quiet weekend - shopping with B on Saturday (P not well again) and Mum's on Sunday. Sunday evening I returned to the e-lounge for delicious pizza with JW; it was good to get a chance to chat with him, he's good value. Work this evening is so far fairly quiet, though there was a rush around 5pm. By Janet Browne;. Posted by Frank at 7:33 pm. Thursday, February 19, 2004. Is hoping to get another shot in her knee to help with the arthritic pain. Marie Cole died last week after battling lung cancer. Funeral is on Thursday afternoon. Posted by Frank at 4:36 pm. Saturday, June 28, 2003. Next week is St Mark's 150th anniversary service; rehearsal Monday and the big night on Tuesday.

Life by the park. Life in inner-city Melbourne. Tuesday, January 27, 2004. Where does the time go? Saturday evening P came for a feed and we watched. Both interesting for different reasons; I'm not sure if I want to see the Ark again, but could easily watch those wonderful birds. This morning as I lay in bed I listened to a gentle shower (alas, no more) and thought I heard the garden sighing with thanks, but saying "More, please". If the BOM is to be trusted there are more showers ahead. Deal or no deal.
