Anne Arundel County Council of PTA's, Inc. 2016 - 2017 Meeting and Event Schedule. Take a stand and join your local PTA. With three exceptions, AACCPTA Board Meetings are held the second Monday of the month from 5:00-6:30 PM at the AACPS Board of Ed Board Room. Not much information about the Council is available until 1966. At that time, there were 29 local units. Anne Arundel County Public Schools had approximately 7,000 students. Currently, there are 89 local units in AACCPTA - representing 2 charter/contract, 65 elementary, 15 middle, and 7 high schools - advocating for the 80,000 students being educated in Anne Arundel County public schools. Northeast High School senior Baily Clark was selected to receive the $1000 general scholarship, named for philanthropist and PTA co-founder, Phoebe Apperson-Hearst. The Kenneth Lawson Education Scholarship, named in honor of one of our former deputy superintendents, has been presented to Christine Swartz of Severna Park High School.
