Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas: January 2014
http://adventuresinscamping.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas. Sunday, January 12, 2014. Long Time, No Post! It's the challenge of a blog like this, not to have anything to write about in the winter months, and to have no trails to report when I can't take the Scamp out. I didn't get to go Scamping last summer (defending the dissertation, getting a job, moving, and going to Ireland), but I have high hopes for this summer! I'm hoping for a trip to Nova Scotia- and if that doesn't happen, some trips closer to home.

Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas: Benevolent Sexism of the Road

Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas. Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Benevolent Sexism of the Road. I know he didn't mean anything by it, just like the owner of the place I stayed outside Quebec City didn't mean anything by it. But it bugs me, just because I know they'd never offer to back in a trailer towed by a man. When was the last time my dad had somebody offer to back in his 33-ft 5th wheel for him (like the guy in Quebec did for me)? June 17, 2014 at 3:47 PM. June 17, 2014 at 4:52 PM. I know wh...

Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas. Thursday, June 19, 2014. Lessons Learned on the Ferry Today. Do not leave your fridge running while you are on a ferry, otherwise you end up with a paperweight in the shape of a Jeep and a Scamp. Very nice guys got me started up again. Glad I carry jumper cables. :). Labels: Cats and the Scamp. June 20, 2014 at 10:47 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. http://adventuresinscamping.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas. Saturday, March 29, 2014. Summer 2014: Nova Scotia, Here We Come! And so I'm antsy to get the Scamp out of storage. I think it's going to happen in three weeks, during Holy Week, when we have some time off. I'll pick it up and drive it to Minneapolis and leave it in my parents' driveway. Dad and I are going to make some new cupboard doors (out of real wood) and I have some other plans. Labels: Nova Scotia 2014. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). One woman, two fur...

Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas. Friday, June 17, 2011. Itasca, My Love. When I got back to the campsite, my mother texted, wanting to Skype (don't you just love modern camping? Because I think she wanted to see my face when she told me that I could keep my Scamp at a friend of Dad's secretary's, down in Lincoln- I get to take my Scamp home with me! That just made my entire summer. Back at the campsite, I built my fire (don't need no steenking firestarters! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas: July 2014
http://adventuresinscamping.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Adventures in Scamping: Small Space, Big Ideas. Friday, July 4, 2014. With a nasty sinus thing that I wish I didn't have. Fun times with family- especially my ridiculously cute niece and nephew. At the moment, I'm writing this while waiting for my parents' lawn mower to cool down enough so I can get it to start, so I can mow the second half of their lawn. In the meantime, Hurricane Arthur, anyone? Wow, look at all those place names I know now, because I've been there! Labels: Nova Scotia 2014. One woman,...

Our 85 Cadet: January 2007

The restoration of a fiberglass 1985 Cadet travel trailer. Monday, January 29, 2007. 1985 Cadet Restoration Project. January 28, 2007, 8:00am. I have been told that about 100 of the fiberglass shells were imported to Canada from Poland, put on frames and finished. This model is still being produced in Poland and sold throughout Europe and Asia. The front dinette is conventional. In one of the seats is a 110v breaker box with a 3-prong cord which is fed through an opening in the shell to shore power&#...
